welcome

I decided a little while ago that I wanted to try again at blogger. My first attempts weren't that great. There were assumptions made and awkward yet friendly messages made by strangers telling me things that may or may not have related to what I was going through at the time.

This blog though won't be about family drama or school drama or friend drama. Basically there will be little to no drama present in this blog. This is going to be a new blog, a new beginning, a fresh start but most importantly
 a new me

A lot has changed since my ill fated "Welcome to My Life" (not to be confused with my tumblr which has the same name for now at least). I believe that I am a better person than I was then. I have grown a lot since February 2010.

Originally I was planning on creating a blog dedicated to my upcoming study abroad trip to China. I don't want this blog to just be about China though. It should be something bigger than that. And that is exactly what this blog is going to be.

For those of you who read my old blogs, or knew the old shy me you're probably wondering about this upcoming trip. I'll be honest I surprised myself when I decided it was going to happen. My decision to go to China came after an amazing week spent volunteering in Arizona. I went on an Alternative Winter Break trip with nine other people from BSU.  I could, and most of the time do, go off on tangents about how great a trip it was and how if even the opportunity was to arise everyone should try and take it. I will post later on (possibly in the fall) about my experience and why you should go. I plan on applying again in the fall but this time for a different trip that way I don't take someone else's opportunity to experience Andre House away from them.

This blog will have posts about my upcoming trip, things that I've learned in during my classes, or things that I have seen and want to give my opinion on. Will any of these things be like something you could find in my old blog? No, been there done that never going to happen again. I've learned my lesson and I for one do not like making the same mistakes twice.
